arcade vampfires

thus, abandoned in our burtons, we four grew to multitudes
roamed through scripted invitations forth to mansions bishop rue'd
and lo' we found a crowded house of bau'mpin technolights
quite covered by some fragile powdered noses glimm'ring white;
but darkest corners did we seek atop the highest stair
and found we did a room for us where we could dance and stare
but alas when open doors did find their place for three to clamber
over railings on the roof (aghast!) where faint of heart might stammer,
out of nowhere Bruno's headset gloves and meaty eyes did peek
and he would not be swayed, he was dismayed, with reddened cheek
he hollered loudly: "you must enter! close this door! you must descend!"
but little did he think accursed he'd be by benjamin-
who, with bruno's torchlight blaring in the eyes of supple meek
he ordered: "stop it! turn it off!" and nimbly jumped with angered feet
toward the man, who face to face now, did they quick exchange the first of several glances,
but our benjamin, would not be swayed by angrier parlances,
thus commanded we re-entered where so haunted by strange revels
we could hear them whisper words throughout the rooms of us as
devils!
disgraceful- thus, we could not stay with malice seeping round
and descended we did quickly to the cold and noisy ground.
the street was overbrimming with the moans of drunken hallows
so we fled in yellow legion off to better stranger shadows.

arriving for a second time with ne'er a vampire seen,
except for us who tooth by tooth could oft be made to gleam,
we assembled at a second flight of stairs afit to climb-
what would become of us, our bloodied hungry mouths of wine
were growing thirsty, could this be the place?
but flesh was hanging heavy in the air enough to taste
and so we paid the price of second revelation for the night
and entered into darkness where there could be seen no light
except the glow of ipod reaper or the dimmest etch-a-sketch,
was that a flavor flav, a half-dead writhing little wretch?
we cackled loud and low and low and loud we danced away desire
the blood was flowing molten now, a smoldering of fire
that has gone out- yes, it was thus as time crept past
the long toothed hour of looking glass
reflected us as ne'er before:

like vampfires seen in days of yore
like spirits without bodies, or
like blackholes in the souls of your
dark vision kept at distance for
the reason that its claws could strike
on any dark and unlit night
a vision could be stripped away
to never see the light of day
but we know this and keep our peace:
all hallows eve will never cease.

boo.

A sleepless night. I am awake, again. Rest is for the hopeful. Does sleep come to the weary?

I am looking for a covered avenue; a colonnade of nodes to quell my vibrating sheath. I want to rest inside a zero. I want to reanimate myself without preying on others. This is not a confidence trick.

This is a vampire's arcade. Methinks this is a great space to consider the utopic freed of ideals.
